It is not pure chance that the house numbered four lining the street Bahnhofstraße has been a cultural centre focusing on literature since 2003. In this very building the renowned novelist Wolfgang Koeppen was born in 1906.

Apart from a café and the archive of the works of Koeppen, the two-storey building offers its visitors a variety of cultural events such as lectures, readings, exhibitons and concerts.
